Infographic: Reward Points ‘The Real Deal’

Credit card reward points really can be incredibly beneficial as long as you really do your homework ahead of time. I know the in’s and out’s of all my credit card rewards points. I know which cards to use for groceries, which for gas and I even pay Comcast and NStar with one because I get bonus points for utility payments.  As long as you maintain a budget and ensure you are paying off those charges in full monthly, you can bank the reward points and really make a few bucks or points.  A few years back when I bought my condo I was able to stock almost my entire kitchen of staple products like silverware, knives, can opened, toaster, etc. from just cashing in all my credit card reward points (with the help of my parents points as well). Keep in mind each card is different and there are plenty of constraints on each program, so knowing what you can and can’t get is ideal to avoid surprises and get the most bang for you buck.
