Dont Shop Alone, Shop with Millions

Smart shopping is one of the biggest steps in saving money, while still living your life.  Whether its shopping for groceries, cloths, electronics or anything in between having a plan and doing research are necessities.  Impulse buys tend to be over priced and sometimes regrettable, so you want to avoid these types of buys at all times.

Remember you are just one person and we live in a modern world.  Utilize the power of the internet.  There are numerous deals sites, coupon sites and forums that provide savvy shoppers with the information they need to shop successfully.  From time to time I will feature some of these sites and provide some tips on utilizing them to the best of their abilities.

This is one of the best, if not the best, online forum/deal posting website out there.  The community is in the millions and growing.  Creating an account is free and the features are fantastic.  One of the best is the deal alert.  All you have to do is type in the keywords of “things” you are looking for and if they are triggered in a post you will get an email alert to the deal.  This is a great way to keep an eye on something you want but dont need right now, allowing for it to go down in price or have a special deal.

One thing to note is that the site does not work without user involvement.  Share your experiences if you see a post on something you have owned or used before.  Provide “reps” (basically “thanks”) for users who post a great deal you get in on.
